Artist Jacob Mazurek’s painting, "Hiking on St. Maarten," captures a moment from his 2019/2020 Christmas Caribbean Cruise, depicting the artist’s teenage daughter and their tour guide gazing along the island’s rugged shoreline during a group hike. This work exemplifies Mazurek’s dedication to bringing vivid, personal experiences to life through meticulous detail and emotional depth. This work reflects a period of attempting a looser, quicker, almost impressionistic style
